The upper face and the forehead are subject to change due to the aging process and typically leads the forehead skin and eyebrows to relax and descend.

We compensate by actively raising our brows and contracting the frontalis muscle located in the forehead, resulting in dynamic forehead wrinkles.

A brow lift is a surgical procedure that rejuvenates the face above the eyes to restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance and better reflect a patient’s initial expressions. By removing excess sagging skin on the forehead and repositioning the underlying muscles and tissues, a brow lift can correct a heavy, sagging brow, eliminate deep furrows, and restore a smoother contour to the upper one-third of the face.

While neurotoxins, such as Botox or Dysport, are commonly used to combat these age-related changes, a surgical brow lift or forehead lift is another effective procedure to provide more permanent and significant forehead rejuvenation. Brow lifting can be combined with other procedures and is commonly performed at the same time as a face lift and/or neck lift with incisions that are concealed within the hairline.
