Dr. Roy
BOARD CERTIFIED ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ANESTHESIA AT MCGILL UNIVERSITY.
Prior to his medical training Dr. Roy completed a bachelor’s degree in human kinetics at Laurentian University and a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology at the University of Western Ontario.
He then completed medical school at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and a 5-year residency in anesthesiology at McGill University, where he was chief resident. As an attending anesthesiologist he has been active in medical student and resident teaching in the clinical setting and using high fidelity simulation, being recipient of the 2017 McGill TCP Teacher of the Year Award.
Dr. Roy prioritizes safety and continually strives to optimize his patients’ surgical experience including minimizing pain and post-operative nausea and vomiting.
