Facial Procedures

There are several ways of enhancing one’s cheeks or chin area.

For patients concerned with a weak jawline, hollow cheeks or a lack of definition of their face’s contouring, a chin and/or cheek augmentation surgery is an interesting option to balance one’s facial features.

Facial implants, made of silicone, can add volume to one’s natural features, highlighting specific areas or filling others to provide a more harmonious and proportioned facial structure. They are tailored to the patient’s needs to achieve their desired look.

The restoration or addition of volume to the lower face area and the cheeks can also be done with fat grafting, whereby a small quantity of fat is transferred from another part of the body to the desired area.

There are also non-surgical procedures that allow one to augment specific parts of the face, such as dermal filler injections. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected into the skin to fill in the grooves where wrinkles occur (in order to restore a smoother appearance) or to enhance facial features. Most fillers are hyaluronic acid-based, a molecule naturally produced by the human body. These products are temporary as they are eventually reabsorbed by the body. The results of such injections generally last between six to eighteen months, depending on the patient and area treated. Fillers can be used to plump up cheeks, lips, contour the jawline and other areas of the face.
